One Root, Many Cultures: Digital Jewels Africa Closes 2025 in Grand Style
On December 18, 2025, Digital Jewels Africa (DJA) brought the year to a memorable close with its End-of-Year Party — a vibrant cultural celebration themed “One Root, Many Cultures.” Held simultaneously across regions, the event reflected DJA’s deep belief in unity, diversity, and shared purpose beyond geographical borders.
From Lagos to Northern Nigeria, Ghana, and East Africa, DJA team members gathered at carefully selected venues to celebrate not only the end of a successful year, but the rich cultural identities that make up the DJA family. The Lagos team convened at Citi Lounge, Elf Bus Stop, Phase 1; Northern Nigeria hosted its celebration at Pappies; the Ghana team gathered at AH Hotel; while East Africa came together at Red Ginger Restaurant, Parklands.
Staff were invited to dress in outfits that represented their roots — and they delivered in style. Traditional attire, cultural accessories, and creative fusion looks filled the venues with colour, pride, and storytelling, setting the tone for an afternoon of music, games, recognition, and connection.
One of the early highlights was the Cultural Outfit Runway, coordinated by Nonye, Obiajulu, and Rachel. Participants proudly showcased outfits representing different tribes and cultures, while sharing their favourite local dishes — described in their native languages. This segment drew laughter, applause, and admiration, as colleagues learned more about one another through food, language, and fashion.
The celebration flowed seamlessly into interactive games hosted by the MCs, keeping energy levels high. Cultural trivia, playful challenges, and light-hearted competitions encouraged participation and reinforced the theme of shared heritage and fun.
Music performances by Klax added another layer of excitement. While the first set warmed up the crowd, the final performance became a standout moment of the day. Staff filled the dance floor, and in a memorable highlight, the Managing Director, Mrs. Adedoyin Odunfa, joined team members in dance — breaking formal barriers and embodying the true spirit of togetherness.
The Awards Ceremony stood as a powerful moment of recognition and appreciation. Staff were celebrated for excellence, dedication, and impact across categories including Business Development, Administration, Project Management, Consulting, and inter-departmental support. Awards such as Best Dressed Male and Female, Bright Spark of the Year, Jeweler of the Year (across regions), and Jewel Tribe of the Year highlighted both individual and collective achievements.
The event concluded with the cutting of the cake, symbolising gratitude for the year gone by and hope for the future, followed by a toast to 2026 — a call for continued growth, collaboration, and success.
More than an end-of-year party, the 2025 DJA celebration was a reflection of the company’s culture — one that values people, honours diversity, and builds unity across borders. As staff departed with smiles, photos, and shared memories, one thing was clear: Digital Jewels Africa is not just a workplace, but one family — rooted differently, growing together.
