On Saturday the 29th of March 2025, our MD, Adedoyin Odunfa, was invited to a focus programme on Arise News TV, alongside the CEO of Futuresoft – Nkemdilim Uwaje Begho – to share their thoughts around Tech, Trust & Transformation: Building Africa’s Digital Defences.

It was noted that Nigeria has become a heavy adopter of tech, especially in highly regulated industries. These days, companies recognise the importance of having cybersecurity and IT GRC experts on their boards, especially in the Financial sector.

As a growing trend, issues around AI and the regulation of AI were not left out. AI models need to be transparent, fair, and driven by ethical policies.

Also, it was noted that some organisations and political institutions are actively putting cybersecurity checks in their working systems.

At the end of it all, it is very important that we are strengthening our ‘Cybersecurity Hygiene Practices’ by automating our value chain and building in controls into those practices while adopting Global Best Standards. Training and internships are also very important, and these are not limited to the technical teams.

It was indeed an exciting and enlightening session with two strong female industry experts.
